Would you trade for my braille plus 18?
Sure, did they update the software yet?
No. they've pushed it up to april. why are you choosing to get rid of the braillesense u2, if I may ask? didnt' you just get it?
Yes, I kind of just want some money. I'd take a trade too.
Wait...is this the U2 or the U2mini?
This is the U2, not the mini. Also, what is so great about the Braille Plus? What kind of apps can you load?
You can load anything that any android phone can load, in theory. More apps will be accessible for it once the new update arrives. But just a friendly piece of advice: if you're asking 3000 bucks for the older U2 model, not the mini, you'll be lucky if you even get two thirds of that because they've been devalued secondhand once the mini came out.
I'm actually not interested in the U2 original as it's got a braille display that 's bigger than what I'm after, so I'm nutral on the matter. But just thought i'd let you know.
Then why do they still sell for $5,000? It is a 32 cell BT model. Plus, the Mini just came out.
Because that's the retail price. Retail means that not only is it coming from the factory, but it's also brand new. These things depreciate in value if your'e selling secondhand. That's especially true in the blind-specific tech market because most of the blind people willing to purchase secondhand machines don't have the money to pay top dollar. Just a thought.
That's true. So what do you think these things sell for.
how old is it.
I don't know. When did they first come out? Like 2012, I think. I don't know it's brand new. I know $600 is too low.
No kiding. I'd say about 2000
Damn, I wish I would have made this guy go up a little bit. He wouldn't even go for $1000.00
